Hi!! I’m OKAERI that is traveler all over the world :))

OKAERI TRAVEL」 concept is to go on a highly satisfying trip tomorrow! I’d love to introduce fun places by local voice!

Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea Opens June 6, 2024!

Have you seen people on TV or social media sharing their visits to Fantasy Springs? If so, you might be thinking, “I want to go too!”

To enjoy the Fantasy Springs area, you’ll need more than just a park ticket—you’ll also need a Disney Premier Access (DPA) or a Standby Pass to enjoy the attraction.

Not sure what those are? Don’t worry! This guide will explain everything for beginners.

In this article, we’ll cover everything you need to know about grabbing canceled or reissued passes for Fantasy Springs attractions, including tips, tricks, and real-time updates on availability.

Points
  • What is a canceled pass or reissued pass?
  • Tips & tricks for securing one
  • Essential tools & items you’ll need

To ride attractions in Fantasy Springs, you must have either Disney Premier Access (DPA) (paid) or a Standby Pass (free).

Before January 2025, some days do not have entry restrictions for the Fantasy Springs area. However, on days with entry restrictions, you cannot enter the area without either a DPA or a Standby Pass.

Both passes can be obtained on the day of your visit via the official app after entering the park. (No advance reservations or pre-purchase options are available!)

This system is quite trickyyyy, so even Japanese guests are confused….

Even if Disney Premier Access (DPA) or Standby Passes are marked as sold out, they may become available again later. This happens because Disney periodically reissues passes due to cancellations or operational adjustments.

In fact, Disney officially states that “Even if a pass is marked as sold out, it may become available again.”

The process of waiting for and attempting to grab these reissued passes is known as “canceled pass sniping.

Initially, people believed reissued passes were just cancellations from other guests, but they are often additional releases by Disney to compensate for operational changes.

This guide refers to both cancellation sniping and additional pass releases as “canceled pass sniping.”

The Simple Trick: Keep Refreshing

The method is straightforward: continuously refresh the DPA or Standby Pass screen on the official app.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the Tokyo Disney Resort App.
  2. Navigate to the DPA or Standby Pass page.
  3. If the pass is sold out, keep refreshing (reload the page).
  4. If a pass becomes available, act fast to get it!

Instead of swiping down to refresh, try swiping left to right—some users report faster response times this way!

Additionally, some visitors found that restarting the app improved their chances of securing a pass.

Some guests have grabbed passes in just three minutes, while others tried for two hours without success.

There is no guaranteed best time, but based on user reports (as of Feb 2025):

  • Passes tend to reappear around 13 minutes past each hour.
  • Some people successfully grabbed passes at 6 PM, 7 PM, and 8 PM.
  • Passes may be available even in the evening!

Since weather conditions can make waiting difficult, it’s good to know that reissued passes sometimes appear at night—so don’t give up!

Reports vary, but some guests have secured passes as late as 7 PM or 8 PM.

However, others have spent hours trying with no luck. Results are unpredictable.

The attraction with the most frequent reissues is: Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure

It seems to have more additional releases compared to other attractions, making it a good target for canceled pass sniping.

No, once you have secured a DPA, it cannot be canceled due to guest preferences.

However, Standby Passes can be canceled.

1. Limited Reissues (June 22 – July 21, 2024)

During this period, the number and timing of additional passes were reduced, making sniping difficult. Some people even said it was “nearly impossible” during this time!

Since July 22, 2024, DPA reissues have increased again, and as of September 2024, many guests are successfully sniping passes!

2. Disney Fans & Repeat Visitors

Since the park’s opening, Disney enthusiasts and frequent visitors have refined their pass acquisition strategies.

  • The key method is refreshing the app and grabbing a pass as soon as it appears.
  • More experienced visitors have faster reaction times, making it harder for casual guests.

In short, having the right knowledge is key to successful sniping.

As of July 2024, this was very difficult.

However, since January 2025, afternoon entry has become more possible!

DPA passes have been reissued more frequently in the afternoon, but if you want to ride popular attractions (especially Frozen Kingdom), visiting in the morning is best.

Without phone battery, you can’t grab passes, take photos, or do much of anything!

Important: There are no battery rental spots inside Fantasy Springs, so bringing two battery packs is recommended!

Even if you’ve seen them before, a rewatch will help you appreciate the attractions more!
