Local One day trip YOKOHAMA Station | Thing to do at company’s museum

YOKOHAMA is near but not crowded than Tokyo.
From Tokyo station, Yokohama station is 30minutes by train.

Since 2020, a number of corporate experience-based facilities that you can play for free will be opening around JR Yokohama Station!(or Minato Mirai Line Shin-Takashima Station)

Located on the lower floor of the company’s building, the general public and children can also experience the company’s efforts ^^

There are some facilities that you can enjoy more if you make a reservation, but basically you don’t need a reservation and you can just pop in! This time, we will introduce the company’s hands-on facilities and museums.

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is one of major Japanese electronic parts manufacturer.

This is a spot where you can learn about electronics while experiencing it like science museum!
As a science major, I was impressed by the fact that you can not only input but also output through games, and that you can translate the content into something familiar.
(By the way, it’s electrical and physics fields that I’m not good at, but it’s really fun for adults too!)

You can try playing Mario Kart(famous Nintendo game)-like racing games where circuits are used as items.

Even though the facility was created based on science for 5,6th grade elementary school, adults also have a hard time.
You can tour the museum freely, but I recommend making reservations in advance to fully enjoy it.

Shiseido is the most famous Japanese cosmetics company.

Renewal opening on January 22, 2025!
The first floor is a small factory/laboratory and cafe, and the second floor is a museum.
It’s so worth seeing that it’s like looking at a science museum!

Adults will be Heart-pounding by the cutting edge cosmetic technology , and children can learn about science and design while being exposed to them, so it’s recommended.

It’s a facility that can be enjoyed by both cosmetic geeks and non-cosmetics geeks.

※English is not available at this facility, but it has fantastic diorama models that can be viewed for free.

Keikyu Corporation is a private railway company that operates mainly in Tokyo and Yokohama.

There are areas that require advance reservations and a fee, but there are also spaces that you can enjoy with free admission X)))

It’s not just a diorama model, you can find the playfulness of the Japanese people.

Paid activities that can be reserved in advance are only available on the Japanese website, and the lectures will also be in Japanese X(

Yamaha is the Japanese biggest musical instrument manufacturer, and the group also manufactures motorsports products.

YAMAHA e-RIDE BASE

At this facility, you can experience e-bikes :))
In addition to test drives, there are also activities that you can enjoy at the theater.

And what really makes me happy is the hospitality X))
At e-RIDE BASE, you can enjoy Japanese tea and cookies produced by Shunkado, which is famous for its eel pie(It’s free!!)

There will also be an exhibition where you can see the manufacturing process of the base for a limited time!

Yamaha Music Canvas is a place that both music fans and those who have never played before can enjoy.
(I’m not really interested in music either,hahaha)

It’s a collaboration of music and art, visualizing sound, and it’s fun just to look at it:)

Don’t worry if you can’t play the piano! AI will support you.

NISSAN is one of famous Japanese car company.
(NISSAN The company name was given to mean “Made in Japan”)

You can experience Cutting edge car technology as well as car manufacturing history.
This facility has not only the newest and luxury car but also classic car.

YUMESAKI GALLELY is an art space where you can learn about technology related to Korean manufacturer LG.
（NOT Japanese company.）
You can feel the world closer to you and experience immersive digital content, which is LG’s specialty.

ほかの施設と比べると、すこしサッパリとしたコンテンツですが、周りにも色々あるのでぜひ！

The facilities introduced this time are located within walking distance of each other, such as next door or across the street.

Perfect for adults as well as families traveling together! (And I’d love to recommend you because of all facilities free)
Each facility is closed on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, so if you want to visit them all, I recommend Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
